consist of "jesus", "finally", "por fin" (for those of you
non-profficient in english), "it's about time" but also "oh no not this

read on, if not....don't know why you came back here in the first
place. If you're looking for the friends quotes there towards the
bottom. Posts on venezuela are gone folks..didn't need to remind

Yes I'm back...officialy now. Posts will be
coming up on a regular basis...basically consisting of these past three
wonderful and eventful and probably the most amazing months of my current
life. I got pictures and movie reviews and countless accounts
about my adventures skiing in killington, my trip to orlando with
friends and beautiful girlfriend Jessi...oh yeah thats another
development on which to write about for those who are out of touch with
things (although my readers consist of like three people but whatever,
its funner tu assume the whole earth reads this thing in order to spice
it up). I'm happy to say i'm reopen and the first post should
come up sometime this week. Maybe later today...no really don't
frown its coming it's not like last time where I said I would but never
did. Jessi don't roll your eyes...Meme don't turn away I
promise. Andre you believe me right? lol. Aditya if
you're reading this you believe i'll post right? Trust me
guys......I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THESE DAYS. i'm officially
tired of school and the one and only thing that kept me active is gone
so i'll be stuck behind this laptop for quite awhile...get used to
it. So...see you in a bit with the first official post of this
2006. Here is a preview of things to come.

| Ok. So how about a post with some of my favorite lines from Friends. Here goes:
"Welcome to the real world! It sucks! You're going to love it!"
-Monica
"Guys, guys, guess what, guess what?"
"Hmm, I don't know...the fifth dentist caved and now they're all recommending Trident?"
-Rachel and Chandler
"Let me get this straight. He got you to beg to sleep with him, he got
you to say he never has to call you again, and he got you thinking this
was a great idea?"
"Mm...hmm."
"This man is my god!"
-Joey and Phoebe
"Emma is the product of a bottle of Merlot and a 5 year old condom."
-Monica
"What is the difference between beer and lager?
"I don't know. We could look it up."
"Thing's are about to get wild."
-Ross and Mike
"You really think she's hot?"
"Are you kidding? If I wasn't married she'd be rejecting me right now."
-Rachel and Chandler
Ok...and now my two all time favorites. Both by Chandler of course.
"You know what's weird? Donald Duck never wore pants. But whenever he's
getting out of the shower, he always put a towel around his waist. I
mean, what is that about?"
-Chandler
"'You're such a nice guy' means 'I'm going to be dating leather-wearing alcoholics and complaining about them to you.'"
-Chandler
Gotta love that freakin show.

reminiscing
To recollect and tell of past experiences or events. I'm
surprised I spelled it correctly but there you go for those who were
wondering.

| PICS ARE BACK UP I HOPE!
So spring break is now behind us. I must say it was the best
spring break I've had so far. So much happened I thought it
lasted like a whole month. Though it was only a week I saw and
did things that would normally happen in like one calendar year.
The awesome week started with the ski trip. Let me tell you, I
had been dreaming about the trip two months prior to taking it but it
was ten times better than I imagined it. I could barely go to
sleep that wednesday. I was supposed to get up that thursday go
to class and get over those two midterms to then head over to my house
to do laundry and stuff and then to Jonatans to sleep over to then
leave to North Carolina that friday morning. So I wake up
thursday morning after a sleeless night and take my exams...they went
well, i think, no...I hope. Melanie then calls and says we gotta
hang out before I leave to the ski trip given the fact that we wouldn't
see each other for like a week. What drama....sorry meme.
Anyway, I called Jose Luis told him to come down for lunch with Meme,
Alex and myself at Chillis. I wanted to leave to pompano before
4pm so that I wouldn't get caught in rush hour and so that I would have
time to my laundry before the trip. Lunch lasted longer than I
thought. Then I drove Alex back to the dorms and finished packing
up all my stuff. I was done and ready to leave when I figured
that Meme and Jose had gone cruisin off somewhere. I waited...and
waited....and waited. Apparently I could have left to pompano
without saying good bye but being the nice guy I am I waited to say
good bye and kept Alex company. By then it was like 5 and it
began to rain. Shit.
I left the dorms like at 5 something, and traffic was horrendous
leaving Aventura. I was supposed to pick Jose up at 7 to leave to
Jonatans. I still had to get home and do laundry. Yeah
right...it was just not going to happen. So what do I do? I
stop at a sports authority...buy some new socks and boxers...and
done. I no longer had to do anything. All I had to do was
drop my dirty clothes and my dad's golf clubs at the house and then
head to Jose's. It took me an hour and a half to get home because
of the rain and traffic...it was horrible going at an average of 25
miles an hour. I call Jose and tell him I am heading his way, it
was around 7:30 when I got there and what do I find? The man
hadn't finished packing or had dinner. All that hurrying up and
stress for nothing. After he did all his thing...we left...drove
two blocks to his grandmas house where he had to say goodbye....another
half hour. So, it was like 9pm by the time we were actually ready
to go to Jonatans. I could have done my two baskets and more of
laundry by then. Whatever...I was so excited about the
upcoming weekend that I didn't care. We got to Jonatans house and
it was great. Everyone was there to wish us a good trip. We
planned our route for the next day...or Jose planned the route
anyway...and the rest of us just sort of nodded along. This
is a pic of us at Jonatans house the night before we left.

Miguel was also there but for some reason I don't have a pic with him
in it. Well...just know he was there people. Miguel...we
didn't forget you man, you just sort of didn't appear in the pics I got
jaajjajaja.

That's one more just for fun. Anyway, we ended up "going" to
sleep at around 12:30 I think. At least Jose and Jonatan
did. I couldn't go to sleep I tell you. It was
horrible. I actually tried counting and got to 736 before I got
sooooooooo bored. Then I couldn't go to sleep cuz I couldn't get
over Jose Luis snoring!!!! I mean...i was counting every time he
snored! It was horrible. I think I ended up sleeping like
two hours. We all woke up on time and Nahomi and Matt got there
in time as well. We left the house I think at 5:06 officialy if I
am not mistaken...ask Jose cuz I know he'll correct me if I am
wrong. Jonatan took the first driving shift. Jose got the
navigator/DJ job for the morning shift and I got the back along with
Nahomi and Matt....actually just Nahomi as Matt basically slept the
whole time he was in the back. It was great. I didn't know
Naho or Matt too well before the trip so this was perfect. Music
is always a perfect way to get to know people. Being Nahomi's
IPOD I learned a lot from what music was in it. I couldn't go to
sleep that morning shift either...given that nahomi wouldn't stop
talking (I loved it Naho don't worry) and because I was also
advertising 311 to Naho along the way. On Jonatans first shift I
learned a couple of things.
1.) Naho likes the Pocahontas soundtrack...yeah its in her IPOD people.
2.) Matt is a sleeper when tired. I envy you man.
3.) Jose loves to listen to songs for the first ten seconds and then
switch songs. I don't think we listened to one complete song on
his Djiing turn.
4.) I think Naho wrote about this earlier....but Jonatan says the
weirdest things when driving. Something about trucks on trucks
facing trucks on another direction on top pf trucks......yeah,
something confusing like that.
Jonatan drove for like 260 miles or something. We stopped at
Jacksonville where it was cold. It was great. It gave us
hope, thinking that if it was that cold in Jacksonville it would be
even colder in North Carolina (this would prove to be false).
Anyway, I volunteered for the next shift.
Naho tried taking pictures of me driving through the rear view
mirror...out of like 100 tries she got this one, which was pretty
decent.

I got to drive and got Matt as my copilot which was awesome. He
was a great DJ, giving us a wonderful queen session at one point.
It was hilarious...all of us singing Bohemian Rhapsody to the top of
our lungs and missing all the key notes, it was awesome. The
three in the back started playing cards or something while Matt and I
were learning about our musical interests.

After awhile we all sort of calmed down. I actually got them to
put on my 311 CD of which we heard like 60% of the songs so I was a
happy man. Jose fell asleep and poor guy couldn't have done it at
a worse time. He had Nahomi and Jonatan in the back. If
anything important was learned throughout the trip it was that Nahomi
and Jonatan can be a deadly combination. They took photographical
evidence that Jose snores. They took videos of the poor guy
snoring. Jose...i feel for you man. Just know I had nothing
to do with it. I was concentrated on keeping my eyes on the road
and laughing my ass off. Here is the proof:

Nahomi....evil you are:

So...I finished driving after a good 400 miles. Jonatan then
decided to finish the rest of the trip so he got the last shift.
We finally got to North Carolina and it was surprisingly sunny and it
felt a lot warmer than Jacksonville...which was weird to all of us, I
mean, it's supposed to colder and full of snow!!!! Boy were we
wrong. There was no snow whatsoever heading up to the
mountains. Everyone started saying how we would end up mountain
biking and going on white water rafting trips. When we got to the
lodge, we only saw a little snow.

Look at the mountains...no snow!!! We were scared shitless. We
turned around and saw Sugar Mountain. There was snow. Thank
god there was snow. We were so happy! Anyway, after Jonatan
parked in a handicap spot he checked us in and off we went to our
cabin/room. I was nervous. I was like, this better be good
or I will never hear the end of it. We got to our apartment,
opened the door and.........waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! It was
so freakin sweet! Two huge rooms, two bathrooms, a jacuzzi, a
fireplace, a TV with dvd players, a kitchen with everything
included. It was like a freakin suite!

This is a view of the kitchen from the living room, and a view towards
the entrance of the room! Huge huh? We got to our room and
settled in. I made a little tour video with Nahomi as the guide
of the room, but it's too big to place online so if you wanna see it
i'll send it to you through messenger or burn you a cd or something I
dunno, we'll figure it out. Jose and Jontan ended up sharing one
of the rooms and Naho and Matt go the room with the queen size
bed. I got the pull out sofa in the living room. It was
awesome don't worry. I got the bed with a TV so I got to see all
my tennis matches before I went to bed every night. I won some
serious money on those matches so it was awesome to watch!
The mountain opened at 8am so we decided to wake up
at 7 so we could head over, rent all our stuff and have
breakfast. Imagine me having a bad couple of nights before the
trip...imagine the night before the day of skiing. I was so
excited, I was like thinking about skiing every ten seconds. I
think I got so tired of thinking about the trip I fell asleep right
away. My alarm went off at ten till 7...i woke up right away,
washed my face and dressed up. I looked around and people were
still sleeping. WTF mate!??? Alarms started going off
people started waking up. I had to sit in my ski clothes for
quite awhile waiting for these people to get ready, but it was
fun. There I was waiting for everyone to be ready to go.

Matt soon was ready:

Nahomi and Jonatan as well:

Off we were to the mountain. It was a spectacular morning.
We bought the tickets rented our equipment and we went to the lockers
to put on our boots and place all our belongings in the lockers.

Once we had done all that we were off to breakfast. I was so anxious to
ski I only had que si half a cinnamon roll and some orange juice.
People didn't have the same enthusiasm....they actually had good
healthy breakfasts. Pssssh. After a good 20 minutes
it was off to the mountain. Finally after months of waiting,
months of watching the live online camera, months of planning the
moment had come....I suddenly got extremely nervous. What if I
get on the skiis and forget everything. What if I fall right off
the bat. All the talking would be for nothing. Jonatan and
I wanted to get off at the fist stop of the lift to ski down the easy
trail to get the hang of it, but Naho and Matt, a chair in front of us
kept going. On to the blue trail we went. For those of you
who don't know:
Ski Trails are separated into four groups. Greens, Blues, Blacks
and Double Blacks. Greens are the easiest, and Double Blacks are
the hardest. Getting out of the lift for the first time was
hilarious. I was with Jonatan. I got off without a
hitch. Perfect, everything came back. Jonatan on the other
hand took a nasty fall and hurt his arm. It was hilarious at
first obviously. We cracked up and joked about it, I mean it was
the first fall of the day, the first fall before the first ride down
the mountain....I think Jose went a longer time without falling.
After a good practice run it was to the top of the hill. Jose
stayed behind to get his lessons with a group so we stayed in touch via
a walkie talkie. The top of the mountain was awesome.

The view was quite amazing. You don't see anything like that in
florida. For a moment I think we all felt we were back in
venezuela climbing the Avila or something.....with some snow in the way
jajaja.

After a whole morning of skiing we went back to the lodge, met up with
Jose and had some lunch. Apparently Jose was doing fine, he was
learning quite quick which was awesome cuz that way it would be sooner
the time we all went up to the mountain together as a group.
Anyway...some pics of lunch time (with no food in the pics apparently):

The rest of the day was awesome. We tagged along with Jose and
his class to see how he was doing and it was great to see him learning
so quickly. The rest of the afternoon we spent skiing the entire
mountain and all its trails. We went back to the lodge for some
rest as we would be heading back up the mountain at 6 for our night
session. The night session was amazing. The snow conditions
were great for my style of skiing, very icy and fast. We were
flying down the mountain. It was a very unique experience.
This is a view from the live webcam where we must have posed like a
million times throughout the trip.

It was night...but the trails were well lit and it was just
awesome. After the first day Jonatan had fallen a lot, Nahomi had
fallen, I had fallen once, Jose had fallen....but Matt was still up and
about. Amazing. We headed back to the room after some light
supermarket shopping. We were exhausted. We decided that on
sunday we would start skiing at 12:30 and end at 10pm. That way
we could some much needed rest in the morning. We woke up kinda
late that morning. Naho made some delicious eggs with
cheese. The village had quite a cool mini golf course so Jose,
Naho, Jonatan, and myself headed over there to shoot a round or two
while Matt slept in. The mini golf course was awesome. With
windmills and the sorts. Jose and I tied for first. It was
a very cold and chilli mini golf session but it was fun.

Yes that is Jose Luis all covered up...he was freezing.

Ah...the winners.
The last day of skiing was upon us and it was amazing. Ten times
better than saturdays session. We all knew the mountain, we had
honed down our skills and this time we had Jose with us so it was the
five of us skiing down the mountain together. We all started
going faster down the mountain. We were all more confident.
In fact...we were all so confident we decided to try taking pics while
we skied. I decided to try jumping. Thats right.
X-games n shit. My first jump was a success and turned up with
quite an awesome picture.

For the second try I wanted to get a video of the jump. I was all
confident n shit so I thought I would push the envelope and try to go
faster and jump higher....boy was that a mistake! The jump was a
total catastrophe! lol. It was hilarious. Not only did I
end up eating snow and losing my skiis....I almost ran over and killed
a little girl trying to ski. It was all caught on video as well.
Here is the link for all of you to enjoy. Make sure you look at
the poor little girl.
http://www.angelfire.com/emo/nahomi/MOV00722.MPG
Now...I wasn't the only one caught on video with an embarassing
fall. For Jose Luis's video...go here. It is also
hilarious. Make sure you listen to Nahomi as she comments on
it....its a good one.
http://www.angelfire.com/emo/nahomi/Jose.MOV

A pic of everyone at the top of the hill.

All of us having some fun.
The last night session was also amazing. Jonatan, Matt and myself
decided to ski the whole mountain at once. No stops or breaks in
between. A full on duel with the mountain. The lift to the
top takes a good 15 minutes. We must have skied down that
mountain in less than 3 the first time...and everytime we did it again
we did it faster. The third and final time we killed the
mountain. We went down one right behind the other. It was a
pure adrenaline rush...reaching speeds so high...i mean, we could have
easily fallen and hurt ourselves pretty bad, but we didn't. We
ruled man! It was exhilirating. I talked about this with
Matt throughout the trip. We love the sense of speed. The
sense of danger. The idea that we can fall at any moment. I
know it sounds strange. The adrenaline just takes over and you
want to go faster and faster and see how fast you can go until your
body tells you to stop. The best feeling in the world.
Anyway...here are some night pics:

The trip came to an end...and Matt did end up falling but just once,
and it was at the bottom of the mountain. Nothing out of the
ordinary and nothing embarassing. Next time Matt...next time
you'll fall and we'll be there to tape every moment of it. The
trip back was great until we got to Florida. We were playing lots
of games and laughing and reminiscing (how do you spell that
word???) Anyway...Florida was eternal. It seemed to take
forever but we arrived fine. Here's a pic of us in the car
leaving North Carolina.

So the trip was an amazing experience and we all learned a lot about
each other. It was great to get to know Nahomi and Matt.
Thanks Nahomi for some good laughs. You can be with Nahomi all
day and never have one moment of awkwardness its quite cool. Matt
is a great skier, at least one with a lot of endurance. Don't
worry man...next time I will tackle that Double Black....hopefully,
maybe. Maybe we'll catch some awesome jumping pictures next
time. Jonatan, dude. We couldn't have planned this trip any
better man. Next time we'll plan something bigger and better with
a lot more people. Jose...dude good job on learning how to ski so
quickly. Hope all the falls helped though!
The rest of the week was also awesome eventhough I
didn't get to catch up with the group to talk about the trip. I
spent it with my family who came up for their spring break. We
headed over to St.Augustine Florida to catch the Players Championship
golf tournament. We stayed at the world golf village which was
amazing. It was all golf. On thursday I got to see Tiger
Woods two feet from me crushing the ball more than 300 yards with his
driver. It was a remarkable experience. I got autographs from a
whole bunch of players who you guys might now know but they are quite
awesome. I got like 10 or 12 signatures on my hat. It was
hilarious. A whole bunch og 10 to 12 year olds screaming for a
signature and there I was....the 20 year old Latino asking and shoving
little kids for a signature. Yeah....hilarious.
We came back on friday and my bro and I
headed straight for the Nasdaq 100 open at key Biscayne where we saw
Safin in action. For you who don't know Marat Safin is the number
4 player in the world. He won the Australian Open this year (one of the
major tournament of the year). It was soooooo cool. The
match went on for more than two our and it came down to a tie
break. We were screaming and cheering and booing. We left
the stadium so excited we couldn't wait for saturday. Friday was
only the night session, from 7pm to 10pm. Saturday was gonna be
great cuz it was from 11:00am to 7:00pm. It was an all day
thing. Saturday was great. I got to see Guillermo Coria in
action (number 5 in the world from argentina). He won his match
which was awesome.

I
also got to see the number 1 player in the world Roger Federer.
It was an amazing sight to see. The guy is a god at tennis.
It was so amazing to see him play. Nahomi was also there with his
dad which was really cool as well.

The soon to be tennis legend hitting a backhand.
After these two huge matches we went out to the practice courts and saw
none other than Martina Navritolova. She is a tennis
legend. She was number one in the world for more than 2 years in
a row in the 80's and won a bunch of majors. I got her autograph
on my hat. It was quite amazing to see her playing right in front
of me.

My bro and I went shopping at some of the stores they had there which
was great. They had so many things it was overwhelming. I
bought some stuff and ended up spending more than I wanted to. At
the end of the day we got to see a doubles match with Marat Safin...and
eventhough he lost it was a tough match.

So...this spring was amazing. Now its back to reality. BAck
to the last month of school and then to venezuela for a great two
months. So, I leave you now. I'll be back later to talk
about some more tennis action.
